Terms of Service

Last updated 17/10/2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SALARIED BOTS PTE. LTD. (“Espresso”, “we”) for your use of the Espresso website, dashboard and Maya, our AI assistant on WhatsApp. By creating an account or using Espresso you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Espresso.

1. Who we are

Espresso is run by SALARIED BOTS PTE. LTD. (UEN 202618032Z). You can write to us at hello@espresso.insure or through our contact page.

2. What Espresso is, and what it is not

Espresso is software for licensed financial advisers in Singapore. It keeps track of an adviser’s clients and policies, and Maya, an AI assistant, helps with premium and renewal reminders, answering questions from the client’s own policy records, and gathering documents and details for claims.

Espresso is not a financial adviser, an insurer or an insurance intermediary. Neither Espresso nor Maya gives financial advice or recommends products. Maya is an AI assistant and not a person; her answers can be wrong. You, the adviser, remain responsible for the advice you give, for everything you send to your clients, and for complying with the rules that apply to you.

3. Who can use it

Espresso is for people who are licensed or appointed to advise on or sell insurance in Singapore, and who are 18 or over, using it for their own practice. You confirm that the details you give us are true, and that you have authority to use Espresso for your practice.

4. Your account

Keep your password secret and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account. One account is for one adviser.

5. Your responsibilities as an adviser

6. WhatsApp and other services we rely on

Maya works through the WhatsApp Business Platform from Meta, and Espresso relies on other providers (see our Privacy Policy). Their terms and policies apply to their part, and a change or a suspension on their side can affect the service. We do not promise that a message will be delivered. If a message breaks WhatsApp’s rules, or the law, we may block it or suspend messaging. More on how we use WhatsApp: WhatsApp messaging.

7. The free trial, plans and fees

You can try Espresso free for 14 days without a credit card. When the 14 days are over, your account is paused until you choose a plan: Maya stops answering your clients, renewal reminders stop, and the dashboard asks you to choose a plan. We do not delete anything because a trial has ended.

Our paid plans, what each includes (such as the number of clients and of Maya replies a month) and their prices are shown on our website and in Settings. Prices are in Singapore dollars and before any tax; GST or any other tax is added where the law requires it.

An account that is paused (because a trial or a plan has ended, or a payment has not been made) works again as soon as a plan is chosen or the payment is made. You can stop using Espresso at any time.

8. Your data

The data you put into Espresso remains yours, and your clients’ data remains under your control. You give us permission to use it only to provide Espresso to you, as our Privacy Policy describes. We do not sell it. On request we will give you a copy, and when an account is closed we keep the data for 30 days and then delete it or make it anonymous.

9. Ownership of Espresso

Espresso, including the software, Maya, the design and the content we create, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it as these terms allow. If you give us feedback, we may use it freely to improve Espresso.

10. Suspending or ending the service

You can close your account at any time by telling us. We may suspend or close an account if you break these terms, if we need to for security, if the law or a provider such as Meta requires it, or if the account is unused. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first. An account is also paused when a free trial or a paid plan ends, as section 7 describes.

11. Our promises, and their limits

We work to keep Espresso available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for decisions made or advice given on the strength of anything Maya or Espresso produced. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from Espresso is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or SGD 100 if you have paid nothing), and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit or business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. If something you did causes us a claim

If a claim, fine or loss against us comes from your breach of these terms, or from data or messages you put through Espresso without the right to do so, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

13. Changes

We may change Espresso and these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the dashboard before it applies. If you keep using Espresso after the date given, you accept the new terms.

14. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Only you and we have rights under these terms.

15. Contact
