About Espresso
Espresso is software for licensed financial advisers in Singapore. It takes the routine back-office work off an adviser’s plate, so there is more time for clients.
What Espresso does
An adviser adds their clients and policies to Espresso. Maya, our AI assistant, then helps with the routine work on WhatsApp:
- reminding clients before a premium or a renewal is due, and stopping once they say they have paid;
- answering a client’s questions from their own policy records;
- helping a client with a claim: what to send, collecting the documents, and getting the insurer’s claim form ready for the adviser to check and submit.
What Espresso does not do
- It does not give financial advice or recommend products. That stays with the licensed adviser.
- It does not replace the adviser. Maya passes anything that needs judgement to the adviser, who can read the conversations and step in at any time.
- It does not pretend to be a person. Maya is an AI assistant, and says so.
- It does not sell data or send marketing messages.
How we think about it
- The adviser is in charge. Their clients, their relationships, their advice.
- Honest about AI. People should know when they are talking to one.
- Private by design. Each adviser sees only their own clients, client records are stored in Singapore, and an NRIC or bank account number typed in to complete a claim form is never stored.
- Built for Singapore: its insurers, its forms, and its rules, including the PDPA and the requirements that apply to licensed advisers.
